The client approached us for remodeling an existing commercial building right in the heart of the city just off mg road in Bangalore. The site was very narrow and deep with a very limited street frontage. The challenge was to create a space that would bring the building on the street and make its presence felt keeping the existing slabs and frame intact.
We achieved this by bringing the street into the building by creating a number of spaces open to the public that could be multifunctional at the lower levels which would also support the boutique retail spaces at the upper levels.
